Platinum Equity has signed an agreement to acquire American Traffic Solutions from W Capital Partners.
American Traffic Solutions (ATS) is a provider of red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety cameras and also provides toll and violations management services to truck fleets and car rental agencies. The company’s PlatePass product provides centralized electronic toll payment services that enables fleets and agencies to take advantage of high-speed, cashless toll lanes with or without an in-vehicle transponder. ATS has more than 3,500 red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm safety cameras in operation in the US. The company was founded by James Tuton in 1987 and is based in Mesa, AZ (www.atsol.com) (www.atsfleetsolutions.com).
