Aquiline Acquires ABC Sports Camps

March 30, 2017 by John McNulty

Togetherwork, a portfolio company of Aquiline Capital Partners, has acquired ABC Sports Camps, a provider of online registration and event management software for sports camps.

ABC Sports Camps is used by hundreds of college and university coaches across the country to promote and administer sports camps and provide online registration for campers. The company offers websites, promotion, online registration, and camp management software. ABC will operate as an independent company under Togetherwork, with founder, and former major league baseball player, Ben Boulware, serving as its President (www.abcregistrations.com).

Togetherwork was formed by Aquiline in September 2016 as a holding company for the firm’s investments in companies that develop and use software to manage and collect payments from groups and organizations. OmegaFi – a provider of management, payments and fundraising software for fraternities and sororities – was acquired by Aquiline in December 2015 and became the first investment under the Togetherwork umbrella.

In addition to ABC Sports Camps, the other operating companies of Togetherwork include: CircuiTree, a Branson, MO-based provider of camp management software serving more than 500,000 campers a year, that was acquired in November 2016 (www.circuitree.com); Doubleknot, a Saratoga, CA-based provider of registration, reservations, membership, ticketing and admissions software and point-of-sale services for nonprofits, that was acquired in September 2016 (www.doubleknot.com); and, as mentioned above, OmegaFi, based in Columbus, GA (www.omegafi.com).

“I’m delighted to have ABC Sports Camps in the Togetherwork family,” said Neil Platt, CEO of Togetherwork. “An innovator in providing online presence and registration for camps run by college and university coaches, ABC has been at the forefront of technology in this sector for 15 years. Their new, state of the art platform is another leap forward in providing the best software solutions to the many coaches that run sports camp throughout the US.”

Togetherwork is a portfolio company of Aquiline Financial Services Fund III LP which closed in April 2016 with $1.1 billion in capital commitments.

Aquiline Capital Partners invests in middle-market businesses across the financial services sector in banking and credit, insurance, investment management and markets, and financial technology.  The firm is based in New York (www.aquiline-llc.com).
