Capsa Solutions, a portfolio company of Keystone Capital, has completed the acquisition of Newell Rubbermaid’s healthcare division (RHC).
RHC designs and manufactures mobile computing carts, medication carts, and wall-mounted IT workstations that are used in healthcare facilities. RHC was founded in 2003 and is headquartered just north of Charlotte in Huntersville, NC (www.rubbermaidhealthcare.com).
Capsa Solutions is a provider of computing carts, medical carts, and medication management systems to the healthcare industry. Customers include long-term care pharmacy, acute care hospital, and surgery centers. The company is headquartered in Portland, OR with an additional facility in Columbus, OH (www.capsasolutions.com).
The acquisition of RHC is the fourth acquisition completed by Capsa in the last eight years. In 2008 the company acquired MMI Med Carts, a family-owned manufacturer of medication carts; in 2009 the company acquired Artromick International, a maker of medication carts for the long term care industry and mobile computing/technology carts supplied to the acute care industry; and in 2014 the company acquired Kirby Lester, a provider of automated medication dispensing products sold to the retail, institutional, hospital and ambulatory pharmacy markets.
