Knight Enterprises, a provider of communications infrastructure services, has been acquired by Mill Point Capital.
Knight’s services include engineering, design construction and maintenance of wireline and wireless communications; installation of energy systems including lighting, solar power and battery systems; smart grid and system security installation; and installation of cable, internet and phone systems for residential and commercial customers.
Founded in 1982, Clearwater, Florida-based Knight serves many of the largest Tier I and Tier II service providers in the cable and telecommunications industries and considers itself to be one of the largest communication infrastructure service providers in the Southeastern U.S. The company is led by CEO Jason Welz who will continue to lead the company in partnership with Mill Point.

New York City-based Mill Point makes control-oriented investments of $15 million to $80 million in business services and industrial companies that have enterprise values of $50 million to $250 million. Mill Point closed its inaugural institutional fund, Mill Point Capital Partners LP, at its hard cap of $450 million in May 2018.
