Arrowhead Electrical Products, a portfolio company of Pfingsten Partners, has acquired Winderosa Manufacturing and Distributing Company.
Winderosa provides engine gasket kits for snowmobiles, ATVs, dirt-bikes and other off-road vehicles. The company is based in Peru, ME (www.winderosa.com).
“Winderosa is a logical fit for Arrowhead,” said Kevin Kraft, Powersports Channel Manager for Arrowhead. “Winderosa’s brand recognition, high quality products and strong technical know-how will be the foundation to further penetrate Arrowhead’s existing end markets and customer base.”
Arrowhead Electrical Products is a provider of non-discretionary parts and components used in the outdoor power, agricultural, construction, on-highway truck, automotive, light truck, marine and power sports replacement markets. Arrowhead is headquartered in Blaine, MN and has additional facilities in California, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Maine and Canada (www.arrowheadep.com).
This acquisition of Winderosa is Arrowhead’s fifth add-on acquisition since Pfingsten acquired the company in October 2011. The transaction is part of Pfingsten’s strategy to create an industry-leading, non-discretionary parts provider. The other four add-on acquisitions to Arrowhead include Boston Auto Electric (Downsview, OT), Atlantic Quality Parts (Jacksonville, FL), All Balls Racing (New Berlinville, PA) and Superior Distribution Center (Modesto, CA).
Pfingsten Partners invests in middle market manufacturing, distribution and business services companies. Since completing its first investment in 1991, Pfingsten Partners has acquired 93 companies and has over $1 billion of capital under management. The firm is based in Chicago and has additional offices in India and China (www.pfingsten.com).
