Kellermeyer Bergensons Services (KBS), a provider of facilities management services, has acquired Emmaculate Reflections, a provider of contract cleaning services to major restaurant chains. GI Partners first invested in KBS in October 2014 when it acquired the company from Kohlberg & Company.
Emmaculate Reflections provides janitorial services to the food service, restaurant, entertainment and hospitality industries. The company specializes in cleaning dining rooms, kitchens, kitchen equipment, bars and lounges, and restrooms. Other cleaning services include pressure cleaning, carpet cleaning, specialized floor cleaning, stainless cleaning, hood and filter cleaning, event staffing, and dusting programs.
Emmaculate Reflections was founded in 1984 and has operations in 20 states east of the Mississippi River and Texas. The company was founded by Lenny Feinstein and Jerry Donath in 1984 and is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale (www.emmaculatereflections.com). With the closing of the acquisition, Emmaculate Reflections will now operate as a division of KBS and will continue to utilize its brand name.
KBS is a provider of facilities management services to multi-region and multi-site industrial, retail, and grocery chains. The company’s services include routine and specialty cleaning, porter services, exterior maintenance, general facility repair, and other ancillary services. KBS operates in more than 42,000 customer locations in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The company is headquartered in Oceanside, CA (www.kbs-services.com).
“Our interest and ultimate investment in Emmaculate Reflections was in part based on work we’d done which clearly indicated that the large and growing chain restaurant sector, ranging from fast casual to fine dining, was woefully underserved, leaving large, sophisticated chains in need of contract services providers capable of delivering consistent brand standards across locations and geographies,” said Mark Minasian, CEO of KBS. “Emmaculate has codified a scalable and repeatable process for ensuring high standards day in and day out across their more than 1,000 customer locations, and they’ve done it successfully for over 20 years. They service some of the best known and operated chains in North America.”
“The KBS acquisition of Emmaculate Reflections is the fifth add-on acquisition closed in the past twelve months and is a continuation of the technology-enabled consolidation that we set out just over three years ago,” said Hoon Cho, a Managing Director of GI Partners.
