Vestar Gets a New VP

Caroline Ptacek joined Vestar in 2022 and actively supports the firm's investments across its core sectors

Vestar Capital Partners has promoted Caroline Ptacek to Vice President from Senior Associate.

Vestar specializes in minority and control management buyouts and growth capital investments in the consumer, business and technology services, and healthcare sectors.

Ms. Ptacek joined the firm in 2022 and actively supports its investments across these core sectors. Before joining Vestar, Ms. Ptacek was an associate in the leveraged finance group at Jefferies.

At Vestar, Ms. Ptacek is currently involved with the firm’s investments in Circana, an Illinois-headquartered provider of data and predictive analytics to companies in the CPG, healthcare, financial services and media sectors that was acquired in 2018; Dr. Praeger’s, a New Jersey-headquartered provider of vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, soy-free, Kosher, and non-GMO foods that was acquired in 2021; and 360 Training, a Texas-headquartered provider of regulatory-compliant online professional training and certification programs that was acquired in 2022.

Ms. Ptacek has an undergraduate degree in finance and international business from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia.

Since Vestar’s founding in 1988, the firm has completed more than 94 platform investments and more than 200 add-on acquisitions, with a total value of more than $61 billion. Vestar is headquartered in New York City.
