Osceola Capital has acquired Trauma Services, a provider of specialty cleanup services, in partnership with its founder and CEO Mike Wiseman.
Trauma Services is a provider of biohazard cleanup and remediation services for unattended deaths, homicides, suicides, non-death medical events, crime scenes, decomposition, hoarding, infectious disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other specialty cleanup services.
Crime scene cleanup involves the thorough cleaning and sanitization of a location where a violent crime, accident, or traumatic event has occurred. This process is essential for restoring the affected area to a safe and habitable condition. Crime scene cleaners are trained professionals who specialize in handling biohazardous materials, such as blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious substances, which may be present at the scene. They use specialized equipment and cleaning agents to ensure that all traces of biohazards are removed, and the area is decontaminated and restored to its pre-incident state.
According to Trauma Services, the company uses the newest technology and equipment available in the bioremediation industry and its response time is within 2 hours of notification, 24 hours a day. Customers of the company include homeowners, law enforcement agencies, government agencies, municipalities, health departments, property managers, and insurance carriers across the New England region. Trauma Services is headquartered near Boston in Mansfield, Massachusetts, with three additional locations across New England.
“Mike and the entire Trauma Services team have built an exceptional reputation through superior service and professionalism while handling sensitive situations with compassion and empathy,” said Patrick Watkins, a partner at Osceola. “We are excited to preserve that legacy and expand the reach of the business through M&A, new office openings, and an expanded service offering.”
Osceola’s partnership with Trauma Services builds on the firm’s investment experience in the facility services sector which include investments in Tendit Group, a Colorado-based provider of exterior commercial exterior facility services (2019); Industry Services Co., a Alabama-based provider of industrial maintenance services, including refractory maintenance, mechanical services, and field tank services (2020); Sightline Services, a Texas-based provider of signage and exterior facility services (2023); and Flotilla Partners, a Florida-based provider of water treatment and testing services for residential and commercial customers in Florida and the Southeast (2023).
“Osceola’s partner-oriented approach and track record of executing aggressive organic and acquisition growth strategies made them the ideal partner for us,” said CEO Mike Wiseman. “Together we are going to make Trauma Services the go-to bioremediation provider in the industry.”
Tampa-headquartered Osceola makes control investments of up to $25 million in companies that have revenues of $5 million to $75 million and EBITDA of $1 million to $10 million. Sectors of interest include business services, healthcare services, tech-enabled services and industrial services. The firm was founded in 2014 and launched its first institutional fund in 2018.
