Plexus Raises Inaugural Buyout Equity Fund

Plexus Equity will make investments in United States-based companies with up to $100 million in revenue and up to $12 million in EBITDA

Plexus Capital has closed on $204 million of capital for its inaugural private equity fund, Plexus Equity Fund I LP (Plexus Equity).

Limited partners in the new fund include institutional investors, family offices and high net worth individuals.

Plexus Equity will make investments in United States-based lower middle market companies with up to $100 million in revenue and up to $12 million in EBITDA. Plexus Equity will typically be the first institutional capital to invest in these businesses.

“This is an important milestone for Plexus. We are grateful to have the support of our longstanding limited partners and are pleased to welcome several new institutional investors to the Plexus family,” said Jay Jester, a partner at Plexus.

Separate from its new private equity fund, Plexus also invests up to $40 million of subordinated debt and equity in companies with revenues of up to $150 million and EBITDA of up to $20 million. The firm invests across all industries.

In addition to raising its new equity fund and since its founding in 2005, Plexus has raised $1.7 billion of capital across five credit-led funds and has invested in 142 companies.

Plexus is managed by six partners and a team of 36 investment professionals with offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.
