ParkerGale Capital has added Kara Master to its team as a new principal. Ms. Master will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment process and she is responsible for sourcing and monitoring investments within the ParkerGale portfolio.
“We are so happy to have Kara join us,” said Kristina Heinze, co-founder and partner at ParkerGale. “Kara’s mix of technology, operating, and private equity experience are a perfect match for our firm. We know she will have a big impact on finding and executing new investments, but she also brings empathy and perspective to working with our portfolio management teams.”
ParkerGale makes control investments in profitable technology companies that have at least $2 million of EBITDA. Companies with subscription or transaction-based revenue models are preferred. The firm was founded by five former members of Chicago Growth Partners – Devin Mathews, Dave Chandler, Jim Milbery, Kristina Heinze and Ryan Milligan. ParkerGale is headquartered in Chicago (www.parkergale.com).
“I am excited to be on such a cohesive and energetic team,” said Ms. Master. “Being back in Chicago is an added bonus. I am looking forward to building something great with my new friends at ParkerGale.”
Prior to joining ParkerGale, Ms. Master was a senior associate at McCarthy Capital where she was responsible for deal origination, execution and monitoring of portfolio companies. Before working in private equity, she worked in the technology industry, holding strategy focused roles at Cision and Google. Ms. Master graduated with a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
