Middle market investor J.W. Childs Associates has added three new professionals to its team with the hiring’s of Philippe Schenk as Managing Director, Kyle Casella as Vice President, and Jess Yuan as Associate. Mr. Schenk will lead investor relations activities for J.W. Childs. Mr. Casella and Ms. Yuan are responsible for due diligence and analysis of new investment opportunities and monitoring of portfolio companies.

Their expertise will prove valuable as we seek new investments and continue to implement our operationally-focused value creation strategy.”
Mr. Schenk was previously a Principal at Grove Street Advisors, an investor in middle market buyout, growth equity and venture capital funds. Earlier in his career he was a Director at Credit Suisse in both Zurich and New York, most recently in the firm’s alternative capital division. Mr. Schenk has a BA from the Commercial College of Zurich and an MBA from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences.
Before joining J.W. Childs, Mr. Casella worked in the Boston office of Weston Presidio where he focused on investments in the consumer/retail and business services sectors. Prior to Weston Presidio he was at Wells Fargo Securities and advised middle market companies on M&A and leveraged finance transactions. Mr. Casella has a BA in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an MBA from Harvard.
Ms. Yuan previously was an investment banking analyst at Deloitte Corporate Finance (formerly McColl Partners – Deloitte LLP purchased Dallas-based McColl Partners in June 2013). Ms. Yuan has a BS in Commerce with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Virginia.
