KT Capital Acquires Advanced Estimating Systems

the edge nf1Advanced Estimating Systems, a provider of computer-assisted estimating for the construction industry, has been purchased by KT Capital. The transaction closed on January 31st, 2014.

Advanced Estimating Systems is a provider of estimating software for the construction industry. The company has been renamed The Estimating Edge and will feature new branding, a new website launching today and a renewed focus on driving product innovation. The company was founded in 1986 and is based in Delray Beach, FL (www.edgeestimating.com).

kacer nf1“The EDGE is the leading construction estimating software package for several trades – including roofing, drywall and fireproofing, having been in the business for over 25 years. We intend to further develop these products going forward, and to continue the successes realized by the former owners,” said Peter Kacer, a managing director with KT Capital.

Leading these changes is the company’s new president, Brian Fugere – most recently the chief operating officer at RemitDATA. Mr. Fugere is a software industry veteran with experience in marketing, product management, and sales. “I’m excited about the opportunity at The Estimating Edge,” said Mr. Fugere, “The legacy commitment to supporting our customers is something we’ll continue to preserve while driving new features and functionality into our software. Ultimately, our job is to make our customer’s jobs easier and that’s our singular focus”.

KT Capital Partners invests in companies with revenues of $5 million to $50 million and at least $1 million of EBITDA that are based in the southeastern United States. The firm is headquartered in Atlanta (www.ktcapital.net).
