Huron Capital Partners had added four new private equity professionals to its team with the additions of Heather Madland, Mark Miller, Tod Pesses and Mike Zukas. The four new hires will be active in investing the firm’s fourth investment fund, The Huron Fund IV LP, which closed in January 2013 with $500 million in capital commitments.
Heather Madland joins Huron as Vice President of Deal Origination and is responsible for business development and investment sourcing activities, including outreach to deal professionals such as business brokers, investment banks, attorneys, accountants and consultants. Ms. Madland has 15 years of experience in originating, structuring, and executing debt and equity transactions in the middle market. Prior to joining Huron, she was responsible for all West Coast new business development for SPP Capital Partners. She also served as Vice President and Team Leader of Middle Market Banking at Comerica Bank in San Francisco and has also held roles at CIT Sponsor Finance and Madison Capital Funding where she focused on originating and structuring leverage finance products for private equity clients. Ms. Madland has a BA from Cornell University.
Mark Miller joins Huron as a Vice President. He is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and analyzing investments made by the firm. Prior to Huron, he was a Senior Associate at Glencoe Capital, a lower middle-market private equity firm, where he focused on evaluating, analyzing, and executing investments. Prior to Glencoe, Mr. Miller worked in JPMorgan’s Mid-Corporate Investment Banking Group, where he focused on M&A, debt, and equity advisory assignments for Midwest-based businesses in a variety of industries. Mr. Miller received his BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and has an MBA from Wharton.
Tod Pesses joins Huron as an Analyst. He is responsible for evaluating and analyzing investments made by the firm. Prior to joining Huron, he was in the Mergers and Acquisitions group of CareFusion, a medical technology company with revenues of $3 billion. Mr. Pesses has a BA in Economics from the University of Connecticut.
Michael Zukas joins Huron as an Analyst. He is responsible for evaluating and analyzing investments made by the firm. Prior to joining Huron, Mr. Zukas was an analyst at investment bank Rothschild. He has a BS in Economics and Finance from Babson College.
