Stonefield Economics, an economic consulting and dispute advisory platform backed by Trinity Hunt Partners, has added Hancock Firm, a business valuation and litigation consulting practice. The firm values businesses and intangible assets, calculates damages such as lost profits and traces assets for attorneys, family offices, CPA firms and financial institutions in commercial, marital and estate disputes, and advises on business acquisitions. Hancock Firm is based in Houston.
Rob Hancock founded the firm in 2004, and Shea Hancock now leads it. Trinity Hunt launched the platform in March 2026 with an investment in Berger Consulting Group, a California provider of economic analysis and damages quantification for employment litigation, and brought in Gary Buckland as CEO. Mr. Buckland said Hancock’s reputation and leadership make it the kind of firm Stonefield wants on its platform. Trinity Hunt, based in Dallas, is a growth-focused private equity firm with more than $2 billion in assets under management.
