PrimeSource Brands, a building products distributor backed by Clearlake Capital Group, has acquired JACLO Industries, formally Durst Corporation. Under the JACLO brand, the company sells shower systems, faucets, grab bars, decorative drains and bath accessories in more than 35 finishes; under the Durst brand, it supplies valves, fittings, drainage and water supply and heating parts to plumbing wholesalers and contractors. JACLO is based in Cranford, N.J.
Founded in 1901, JACLO sells through decorative plumbing showrooms, wholesalers and home improvement retailers across North America. Irving, Texas-based PrimeSource offers more than 100,000 SKUs, including construction fasteners, cabinet knobs and pulls, fencing and railing, from 64 sites in 26 states and two countries. CEO Tom Koos said JACLO fits with the company’s Dimora Brands business. The deal is PrimeSource’s 12th acquisition since Clearlake invested in December 2020.
