Tim Brown founded Advantage in 1998. Ridgeline, which provides residential and commercial roofing and restoration services, has offices in Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia. Ridgeline CEO Chris Baldus said Advantage is the kind of founder-led operator with a loyal customer base the company likes to partner with, and Zach Bassi, a vice president at Bertram, said the firm will support the Advantage team as it extends its reputation across Southwest Michigan. Bertram, based in Foster City, Calif., invests in lower middle-market companies and has raised more than $4 billion in capital commitments since 2006.
