ATIS inspects elevators and escalators and polices the maintenance contracts behind them, telling building owners whether the equipment they pay to have serviced is actually being serviced. It supports nearly 100,000 units for more than 15,000 customers across the U.S. and Canada. The Thompson Street Capital Partners portfolio company has acquired AuditMate, an elevator asset management software platform.
ATIS plans to fold AuditMate into its managed services to give customers continuous maintenance visibility and portfolio analytics, backed by more than 250 consultants and inspectors. Tom St. Geme, a managing director at Thompson Street, said pairing AuditMate’s technology with that network positions the combined business to deliver differentiated outcomes for building owners. Jim Fox, chief executive officer of ATIS, said elevators are among the more opaque systems in the built environment and the deal creates a more transparent operating model. Thompson Street, founded in 2000 and based in St. Louis, managed more than $4.5 billion as of June 30, 2026.
