Mainsail-Backed Skimmer Acquires Pool Builder Geek and Poologics

Skimmer gives pool service companies the software to route technicians, record chemical readings at each stop, bill customers and keep service histories straight. The Austin company, backed by Mainsail Partners, has acquired Pool Builder Geek and Poologics, two platforms built for pool construction businesses.

The acquisitions carry Skimmer past service and maintenance into how pools are sold and built, giving it one system covering construction through ongoing care. Pool Builder Geek, an AI-based project management platform for pool construction and renovation, was founded by Tommy Reynolds, who joins Skimmer to lead construction strategy. Poologics is a business management platform for pool builders led by chief executive Nate Pruitt. Jack Nelson, chief executive of Skimmer, said Pool Builder Geek brings an AI-native platform while Poologics brings a product builders have relied on for years. Mr. Reynolds said pool builders do not need generic contracting software with a pool label added to it.
