Med-Metrix, the Harvest Partners and A&M Capital Partners-backed revenue cycle management platform headquartered in Parsippany, New Jersey, has agreed to acquire Vitalware, a cloud-based revenue integrity and chargemaster management software business, from Health Catalyst (NASDAQ: HCAT) for $147 million in cash.Founded in 2011 and acquired by Health Catalyst in 2020, Vitalware provides hospitals and health systems with software for chargemaster management, price transparency, coding optimization, and revenue integrity. The acquisition adds mid-revenue cycle software capabilities to Med-Metrix’s existing technology-enabled services platform, supporting the company’s strategy of combining operator-led services with scalable software. Med-Metrix was founded in 2010 by CEO Joseph Davi. Rob Wright serves as co-president.
Harvest Partners, founded in 1981 and headquartered in New York, manages approximately $20 billion in assets under management and invests in middle-market healthcare, business services, commercial services, and consumer services companies. Lucas Rogers led the Harvest deal team.
