New Biz Development Pro at Calera Capital

Calera Capital has hired Michael O’Brien as managing director and head of business development. Mr. O’Brien joins from Valspring Capital, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Business Development. Earlier in his career, he held senior business development positions at AVALT and New Heritage Capital.Now at Calera, Mr. O’Brien will focus on sourcing investment opportunities and expanding the firm’s deal origination efforts. Boston and San Francisco-based Calera invests in companies operating in the business services, logistics and specialty industrial sectors.
