H.I.G. Capital has added Clark Jeffries as Managing Director and Global Head of Insurance, and Gary Droscoski as Managing Director within its capital formation group, as the firm expands its insurance investment capabilities.
The hires support H.I.G.’s strategy to build a dedicated insurance vertical that will focus on strategies aligned with insurers’ balance sheets and making direct investments in insurance companies.
Mr. Jeffries will lead sourcing, execution, and management of insurance-related investments, as well as the development of products for insurance clients. He previously served as chief investment officer of Somerset Reinsurance Limited and held a senior role at Bank of America. Mr. Droscoski will focus on capital formation and expanding relationships with insurance investors, drawing on his prior experience at PGIM Private Alternatives, New York Life Investments, and GAM Investments.
