Nexa Hard Caps Fund II

Nexa is an investor in founder-led software businesses that operate in niche and underserved markets

Nexa Equity has held a hard cap and oversubscribed final close of Nexa Equity Fund II LP with $390 million in capital commitments. Nexa is an investor in founder-led software businesses that operate in niche and underserved markets.

Limited partners in the fund include both returning and new institutional investors such as pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, family offices, and investment consultants. With the close of this fundraise, which took just six months, the firm now has total assets under management of more than $1 billion.

Nexa makes control and select minority investments in vertical SaaS companies that are profitable or break even and have annual recurring revenue of $3 million to $30 million and a growth profile of more than 25% year-over-year. Vertical sectors of specific interest include industries and areas where manual operations and systems are prevalent. Sector examples cited by Nexa include field services, construction, grocery store technology, and school athletic departments.

“We are honored by the support of our investors and energized every day by the founders who trust us to help bring their visions to life,” said Vlad Besprozvany, the founder and managing partner of Nexa Equity. “We are excited to keep building enduring, industry-shaping businesses together with our founders, limited partners, and the broader community.”

Fund II has not made any investments yet, but in March 2024, Nexa formed Ladle, a new platform that combines three Nexa-backed portfolio companies: ComplianceMate (food safety), MeazureUp (digital audits and checklists for operators of multi-location grocery and convenience stores and restaurants), and Storewise (grocery store automation and analytics). Ladle services customers at over 18,000 locations worldwide.

San Francisco-based Nexa has an 18-member team of financial professionals and operators that build shareholder value through operational improvement, go-to-market scaling, and strategic acquisitions.

M2O Private Fund Advisors was engaged by Nexa as its placement for this fundraise.
