O2 Investment Partners has added Josh Blumenstein to its investment team as the firm’s newest associate.
In his new position, Mr. Blumenstein will be responsible for evaluating new transactions, conducting due diligence, underwriting new investments, and working with O2’s portfolio companies.
Before joining O2, Mr. Blumenstein was an investment banking analyst at Greenhill & Co. where he assisted the firm in advising clients on M&A transactions across the industrial, transportation, energy, healthcare, and technology sectors.
“Josh has strong transaction experience across a broad spectrum of sectors and will make an excellent addition to the O2 team,” said Luke Plumpton, a managing partner at O2. “We are confident he will be a great fit for our firm and a valuable asset as we continue to grow.”
Mr. Blumenstein has his undergraduate degree in business administration, with a concentration in finance and accounting, from the University of Michigan.
O2 has been an active acquirer in 2022 with the buys of two new platforms and nine add-on acquisitions. Just last month, O2 continued the build of four of its platforms with the buys of Wisconsin-headquartered D&S Dental for its Frontier dental laboratory platform; the buy of California-headquartered Vector97 for its SIB cost reduction services platform; the buy of Texas-based Linear Roofing for its Capital Construction roof replacement platform; and the buy of New York-based Onward for its BerlinRosen communications and public relations platform.
O2 makes control investments in companies with EBITDA of more than $5 million located anywhere in the United States and Canada but with a preference for the Midwest and the Great Lakes regions. The firm’s typical transaction size is $15 million to $50 million. Industries of interest include manufacturing, niche distribution, select service, and technology businesses. O2 is based in the Detroit suburb of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
