Angeles Equity Adds Two

Angeles Equity Partners has added two new professionals to its investment team with the hirings of Te’Rhon O’Neal and Jamie Brown as vice presidents.

Both Mr. Brown and Mr. O’Neal will be responsible for evaluation, due diligence, and execution of new investments.

“Our firm experienced a significant increase in deal activity over the last year, having signed five platform acquisitions, three tuck-in transactions, and two full exits, we continue to invest in our team, as we believe it is a key differentiator of, and contributor to, our success,” said Jordan Katz, a co-founder and managing partner of Angeles.

Prior to joining Angeles, Mr. Neal was an investment professional at Westhook Capital where he evaluated acquisition targets, conducted due diligence, and oversaw portfolio company operations. He began his career in the investment banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch after receiving a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University.

Mr. Brown joins Angeles from Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners where he was responsible for transaction evaluation, execution, and asset management. He began his career working in the investment banking division of Deutsche Bank within its industrials group. Mr. Brown has his MBA from Vanderbilt and a BA in Social Sciences from Durham University in the United Kingdom.

Angeles Equity makes control investments in companies with enterprise values up to $200 million that have headquarters and primary operations in the United States and Canada. Sectors of interest include aerospace, automotive, building products, capital goods, chemicals, electronics, manufacturing, metals, transportation and logistics, packaging, and distribution. In January 2017, the Los Angeles-based firm closed Angeles Equity Partners I LP with $360 million in committed capital.
