Cascade Windows, a portfolio company of CenterOak Partners, has acquired Amerimax Windows & Doors from OmniMax International. CenterOak acquired Cascade in February 2016.
Amerimax is a manufacturer of vinyl windows and doors sold to the Western US residential retrofit and replacement markets. The company operates two manufacturing facilities in Loveland, Colorado and Woodland, California.
Spokane-headquartered Cascade Windows is a manufacturer of residential vinyl windows and doors that are sold through a network of dealers in thirteen states to customers across the Western US. The company, led by CEO Geoff Bennett, operates four plants in Spokane and Portland, Washington; Salt Lake City, Utah; and Phoenix, Arizona.
The buy of Amerimax expands Cascade’s product line in the retrofit and replacement window and door segment and provides additional production capacity to serve existing Amerimax and Cascade customers in California and Colorado.
“This acquisition supports our ongoing growth story and significantly expands our product offering in the retrofit and replacement market,” said Lucas Cutler, a partner at CenterOak. “The Amerimax manufacturing facilities in Colorado and California coupled with Cascade’s existing production facilities will allow the company to effectively serve its dealer and builder customers throughout the Western US.”
Dallas-headquartered CenterOak makes equity investments of $20 million to $90 million in companies with enterprise values of $50 million to $250 million. Sectors of interest include industrial manufacturing and distribution, business services, and consumer products and services.
OmniMax International is a manufacturer of aluminum, steel, vinyl and copper building products including coated coils, wall and roof systems, aluminum and vinyl windows and doors, patio products, aluminum recreational vehicle doors, and bath and shower enclosures. The company was formed in 1996 to acquire the fabricated products business of Alumax, an integrated aluminum producer, and is headquartered in Norcross, Georgia.
