Aurora Capital Partners has added Scott Erickson to its team as Principal, Business Development.

Mr. Erickson has more than 12 years of business development, origination, and marketing experience. Prior to joining Aurora, he spent eight years at The Gores Group, where he most recently served as the Head of Origination and oversaw business development for all of Gores’ investment vehicles. Before his time at Gores, Mr. Erickson worked in marketing and program management for Charter Communications.  Mr. Erickson has an MBA from Pepperdine and a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic.

“I’ve known many of the partners at Aurora for years and am thrilled to be joining such a talented group of investors,” said Mr. Erickson. “The firm’s culture, track record, reputation, and momentum present an incredible opportunity to help build a top-tier business development effort.”

Aurora Capital makes control investments of $50 million to $300 million in industrial, manufacturing and service-oriented businesses that are valued between $100 million and $500 million. Specific sectors of interest include industrial services and distribution, engineered products, and technology-enabled services.

“We are pleased to welcome Scott to our team to help expand our sourcing capabilities,” said Mark Rosenbaum, a partner at Aurora.  “In his years of experience, Scott has developed a deep network of relationships within the investment community that will be valuable in helping Aurora identify opportunities within our investment focus.  He will fit well into our collaborative culture, and we look forward to benefitting from his experience and insights.”
