CIVC Hires Nick Canderan

CIVC Partners has hired Nicholas Canderan as Director of Business Development. Mr. Canderan will lead CIVC’s origination, marketing and business development efforts focused on investment banks, brokers, executives, and other transaction sources.

Mr. Canderan has more than eight years of sales and business development experience, most recently spending the past five years at Axial, a transaction network for middle-market M&A professionals. At Axial, he was responsible for working with middle-market private equity firms to improve their business development efforts. He has his undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

“Nick has built an extensive network of relationships and has strong experience in deal origination and intermediary relationship management,” said J.D. Wright, a Partner at CIVC. “We are thrilled to welcome Nick to the CIVC team as we continue to seek compelling investment opportunities for our recently raised fifth fund, as well as for add-on investments to our existing portfolio companies.” CIVC held a final closing of its fifth fund, CIVC Partners Fund V LP, at the hard cap of $400 million in May 2017.

CIVC invests from $15 million to $85 million in companies that have at least $5 million of EBITDA.  Sectors of interest include business services and financial services. Since 1989, the firm has invested just under $1.6 billion in 61 platform companies. CIVC is headquartered in Chicago (www.civc.com).
