Cressey & Company has held a final hard cap closing of Cressey & Company Fund VI LP with $995 million of capital commitments and a related co-investment fund with $105 million of capital commitments. Fund VI launched in March 2018 with a target of $750 million and was almost immediately oversubscribed.
Like earlier funds, Fund VI will make control-oriented investments in North American-based healthcare services and information technology businesses that have from $50 million to $500 million of enterprise value. The firm’s earlier fund closed at its hard cap of $615 million in December 2014.
“We thank our investors for the trust they have placed in us and we are excited to capitalize on the attractive investment and value-creation opportunities we see in the services and information technology sectors of the healthcare market,” said Peter Ehrich, Partner at Cressey & Company. “My partners and I are proud of the leadership position we have established for our firm and for the value we have delivered to our investors over the years.”
Cressey & Company has offices in Chicago and Nashville (www.cresseyco.com).
Kirkland & Ellis (www.kirkland.com) provided legal services for this fundraise and no placement agent was used.
