Periscope Equity has hired Alex Friedman as a Vice President to lead the firm’s business development efforts.
In this new role, Mr. Friedman will lead transaction origination efforts by building and managing relationships with deal intermediaries, business owners and executives. Periscope invests from $5 million to $15 million in companies with revenues from $10 million to $50 million and EBITDAs from $2 million to $5 million. Sectors of interest include marketing services, security services, software as a service, healthcare services, and business process outsourcing.
Prior to joining Periscope, Mr. Friedman was a vice president at Chicago-based Ardenton Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, where he focused on both deal origination and fundraising. Previously, he was a vice president at Gibraltar Business Capital, where he focused on sponsor-backed, private credit origination. Earlier in his career, Mr. Friedman was an assistant vice president at PNC Capital Markets in its financial services, advisory and banking practice. He has a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.
