Empeiria Capital Partners has acquired B&B Roadway and Security Solutions, a provider of perimeter security and traffic control devices.
B&B Roadway Security and Solutions (BBRSS) operates from two divisions – B&B ARMR and B&B Roadway – which produce roadway safety barriers and warning gates used in the transportation market as well as barriers used in access control point and perimeter security applications. The company’s products include crash rated vehicle barriers, hydraulic gate operators, bollards (posts installed to prevent ram raiding and car ramming attacks), bridge gates and warning devices, and HOV lane warning gates. BBRSS was founded in 1925 and is headquartered near Dallas in McKinney, TX with additional facilities in Russellville, AL and Grandview, MO (www.bbroadway.com).
“BBRSS is exceptionally well positioned to capitalize on the growing opportunities stemming from the country’s aging transportation infrastructure and anti-terrorism security needs,” said Keith Oster, a Partner at Empeiria and new Chairman of BBRSS. “The company has an outstanding reputation for technical design and development and providing superb customer service and support. We look forward to partnering with management to support the continued growth and future success of the business through organic development and complementary add-on acquisitions.”
“Empeiria’s investment in our company will enable BBRSS to fully pursue new business development opportunities which the management team has laid the foundation for,” said Paul Matthews, President of BBRSS. “BBRSS will have the capital, operational resources and strategic guidance to support our long-term priorities and growth plans.”
