Elizabeth “Liz” Weiner has launched Sundial Park Group, a new private equity consulting firm based in Denver.
Sundial Park advises private equity managers on how to run efficient fundraises, build investor relations practices, provide outstanding client service, and position their partnerships for long-term success. The firm’s activities are focused in four key areas: capital formation, investor relations, training programs, and platform strategy.
“Today, investors require more of managers than just exceptional track records when deploying capital,” said Ms. Weiner, the firm’s Managing Partner. “They seek out managers who have created robust platforms. This requires having well-defined strategies, codified fundraising and investor relations programs, talent acquisition and retention plans, and strong fiduciary and corporate cultures much earlier in their life-cycle than ever before. Ms. Weiner has more than twenty years of experience in fundraising and investor relations advisory, project management, commercial real estate finance, and general management. She is the former Co-Founder and Managing Principal of the KAP Group which she helped grow to more than 50 clients who raised approximately $5 billion for private funds and joint ventures. Prior to founding KAP, she was with Real Estate Private Fund Group at Credit Suisse where she advised and prepared real estate managers through each stage of the capital raising process. Earlier in her career she was the Head Underwriter for the Credit Suisse’s Small Balance Loan Program within its Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group. Ms. Weiner has an MBA from Wharton and a BA from Barnard College.
Joining Ms. Weiner at Sundial Park are Michelle Paretti, Senior Advisor; Maja Orekar, Engagement Leader; Lauren Gilbane, Engagement Leader; and Maryola Rawie, Engagement Leader. The Sundial Park team has more than 35 years of collective experience in private equity and hedge fund capital formation, investor relations, and operations. The team has participated in capital raises totaling more than $8 billion and has worked with more than 70 clients over the course of their careers.
