ProAmpac, a portfolio company of Pritzker Group Private Capital, has acquired Trinity Packaging Corporation.

Trinity Packaging is a maker of flexible packaging with a specialization in large format packaging for the lawn and garden, food and specialty industrial markets. Trinity was founded in 1917 and is headquartered in Armonk, NY with operations in Rocky Mount, VA (near Roanoke) and Buffalo, NY (www.trinitypackaging.com).

ProAmpac’s packaging capabilities include adhesive lamination, extrusion coating and lamination, film extrusion, metalizing, pouching, bag converting, rotogravure printing, flexographic/offset printing, and HD flexo printing. The company operates under the Prolamina, Ampac and Tulsack brands and serves customers in the food, medical, pet food, security, industrial and specialty retail markets. ProAmpac is led by CEO Greg Tucker and is headquartered in Cincinnati (www.proampac.com).

Trinity Packaging will retain its name and operate as a separate division within ProAmpac. The combined company will have 22 manufacturing sites and 3,000 employees supplying more than 5,000 customers in 90 countries.

“Trinity Packaging’s legacy spans 100 years,” said Mr. Tucker. “They are a team of industry veterans with a great reputation for quality and service. I am confident that ProAmpac’s innovation coupled with Trinity’s capabilities will cement our role as strategic partners to our customers and suppliers.”

Pritzker acquired ProAmpac from Wellspring Capital Management in October 2016. “Pritzker Group acquired ProAmpac because of its great team and history of successful acquisitions. The acquisition of Trinity represents our continued commitment to investing behind exceptional management, innovative products and excellent service that make both ProAmpac and Trinity strong partners to their customers,” said Michael Nelson, a Pritzker Group investment partner.

Pritzker Group, led by Tony and J.B.
