Trinity Hunt Buys Castle Copy

Deposition Solutions, a portfolio company of Trinity Hunt Partners, has acquired Castle Copy Service. This acquisition represents Deposition Solutions’ first acquisition in California and continues the company’s expansion into the records space.

Castle Copy Service is a provider of medical and legal services to law firms and claims administrators nationwide. Services include records retrieval by subpoena or authorization; workers’ compensation specialists; on-site document management; medical record review; fee schedule bill review; HIPAA and subpoena compliance; independent medical-review records (IMR) and index processing; and management of released information. The company, led by President Sam Bragg, is based near Sacramento in Rocklin, CA (www.castlecopy.com).

The executive management team of Castle, including Mr. Bragg, will remain with the business going forward and Castle will operate as a division of Deposition Solutions. “Adding Castle to the Deposition Solutions platform is an exciting step forward for our company,” said Mike Clepper, CEO of Deposition Solutions. “This is our second strategic acquisition in the last 6 months, and we hope to continue this momentum.”

Deposition Solutions was acquired by Trinity Hunt in February 2015. In August 2015 the company completed its first add-on with the buy of Houston-based Stratos Legal Records, the medical records retrieval services division of Stratos Legal (www.stratoslegal.com). The second add-on was completed in September 2016 when Deposition Solutions acquired Jensen Litigation Solutions, a Chicago-based provider of deposition reporting and legal videography services (www.jensenlitigation.com).

Deposition Solutions offers a range of services including transcription reporting, legal video and records retrieval. The company’s services are marketed under the DepoTexas and America First brand names.  Deposition Solutions is headquartered in Houston with additional Texas offices in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Fort Worth, Lufkin and Tyler (www.depotexas.com).

“Through this transaction with Castle, we have the opportunity to build upon the strong, long-standing relationships Castle has in place throughout the West Coast. Castle Copy Service represents a compelling next step in Deposition Solutions’ nationwide expansion,” said Gary Buckland, COO of Deposition Solutions.

“The acquisition of Castle represents the continuation of Deposition Solutions’ highly successful growth strategy. We look forward to supporting this combined team as we accelerate our growth plans both organically and through future add-on acquisitions,” said Pete Stein, Managing Partner of Trinity Hunt.
