WhiteHorse Expands Team

WhiteHorse Capital, a subsidiary of H.I.G. Capital, has expanded its direct lending team with the addition of Kimberly Massa as a Managing Director and Peter McLaughlin as a Principal.

Ms. Massa will focus on credit underwriting across the WhiteHorse platform and will be based in the firm’s Stamford, CT office. Mr. McLaughlin will lead WhiteHorse’s Midwest originations out of Chicago and will focus on both sponsor and non-sponsor originations. “We are excited to welcome these accomplished professionals to the team. Their experience and unique skill set will help us grow our capabilities as we continue to build our platform,” said Stuart Aronson, Group Head of WhiteHorse’s US direct lending platform.

Prior to WhiteHorse, Ms. Massa was the Chief Credit Officer for Telecom, Media and Technology at GE Capital where she managed a portfolio of accounts with over $4 billion of credit exposure. Previously, she was a managing director for Antares Capital. Ms. Massa has a BS degree in Business Administration from Western New England University.

Mr. McLaughlin joins WhiteHorse from Medley Capital where he originated, executed and managed middle market loans. He has more than 15 years of experience in middle market private equity, investment banking and lending. Mr. McLaughlin has an MBA from The University of Chicago and an undergraduate degree from Colorado College.
