Comvest Partners has hired Matt Gullen as a new Partner and a member of the investment committee for Comvest’s private equity strategy. Mr. Gullen will be based in the firm’s West Palm Beach office and will be responsible for all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, transaction execution and portfolio company management.
From August 2007 to December 2016, Mr. Gullen was with H.I.G. Capital, most recently as a Principal in the firm’s LBO fund. Prior to H.I.G., he was a consultant at Mars & Co. and an analyst at The Concord Group. He has an MBA from The Wharton School and an MA from the School of Arts & Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania, and he received his BA from Pomona College.

Comvest Partners provides debt and equity to middle-market companies. For debt investments the firm will invest from $10 million to $50 million per transaction in companies with at least $15 million of revenue and EBITDA of at least $3 million. For equity investments the firm will invest from $35 million to $125 million of equity per transaction in companies with $50 million to $1 billion of revenue that have positive or negative EBITDA.
