Baird Capital, the direct private investment arm of Robert W. Baird & Co., has added Andy Tse as a Partner to help lead its investment efforts in Asia.
“Lower middle market companies in Asia are looking for a financial partner with access to relationships and markets in Europe and North America, and I believe Baird Capital’s global platform will be a significant differentiator for Asia entrepreneurs,” said Mr. Tse.
Mr. Tse has more than 20 years of private equity experience. Most recently he was a Managing Director at AIF Capital where he led investments in the industrial and service sectors across Greater China, South Korea, South East Asia, India, Sri Lanka and Australia. Prior to AIF Capital, he worked with Hopewell Holdings and Consolidated Electric Power Asia in Hong Kong where he was involved in the investment, development, financing, construction, operation and management of infrastructure and manufacturing investments across Asia. Mr. Tse holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Baird Capital invests in lower middle-market companies in the manufactured products, healthcare and business services sectors. The firm invests from $15 million to $35 million in companies with enterprise values of $25 million to $125 million and EBITDAs greater than $5 million.
