Kenneth May has been named as a new Operating Director at ClearPoint Investment Partners, an investor in lower middle-market business services and financial processing companies. Mr. May is a longtime veteran of the travel, hospitality, and consumer services sectors.
Mr. May was previously the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Group RCI (now Wyndham Vacation Exchange & Rentals). During his time at the company, through both organic growth and add-on acquisitions, he tripled revenue to $1.3 billion and grew EBITDA to $300 million. Before joining RCI, Mr. May was the General Manager of the North American Cards Division of Citigroup and the bank’s Head of Marketing, Sales, and Distribution for Latin America. Earlier, he was General Manager and Senior Vice President at Disney Vacation Development. Mr. May has also held senior executive positions for PepsiCo and Colgate-Palmolive. He has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and an AB in Russian Language and Literature from Middlebury College.

ClearPoint invests from $20 million to $100 million in US and Canadian-based companies that have revenues of at least $100 million and a minimum EBITDA of $3 million. Sectors of interest include business services and financial processing with a specific interest in outsourced services, transaction processing, data and analytics, and brokerage and distribution. ClearPoint does not invest in “balance sheet” financial services companies such as banks or insurance companies.
