Advent Acquires E.O. Wood

EO Wood nf1Distribution International, a portfolio company of Advent International, has acquired the assets of E.O. Wood Company, a fabricator and distributor of commercial, mechanical and industrial insulation.

rigid wrap nf22E.O. Wood has a specialization in the fabrication of Rigid Wrap®, a product used to insulate pipes and tanks. The company is also an official distributor of Johns Manville insulation products. E.O. Wood has a 40,000 square foot warehouse, manufacturing, and headquarters facility in Fort Worth, TX (www.eowood.com).

Distribution International (DI) is a value-added distributor of insulation, abatement supplies, fire protection products, refractory products, and safety & contractor supplies.  The company has 85 branch locations and serves customers in the commercial building, chemicals, energy, power, railcar and marine end markets. Most of DI’s sales are derived from ongoing maintenance and repair spending in industrial installations and commercial buildings. Advent International acquired DI in December 2014 from Audax Private Equity and The CapStreet Group which in turn acquired DI in August 2010 from Grey Mountain Partners.
