Strattam Adds Operating Partner

strattam capital nf1Strattam Capital, a private equity firm that specializes in business IT companies, has named Ray Villareal as an operating partner. He will be active in both portfolio management and the evaluation of new investment opportunities. Mr. Villareal is the first full-time operating partner at Strattam.

Mr. Villareal has held senior level executive and advisor positions at several venture-backed companies. His background includes operating and management experience across a range of functions including sales, marketing, professional services, customer support and business development.

Mr. Villareal will serve in a full-time capacity at Strattam and will be active with the firm’s investment team and the management of its portfolio companies – particularly Doxim and Trax Technologies – to develop and implement go-to-market strategies and execution improvement activities.

Before joining Strattam, Mr. Villareal was vice president of the Americas and general manager of global services at LifeSize, a video-conferencing division of Logitech. He was also a senior vice president of field operations at SumTotal Systems, vice president of marketing and vice president of field operations at WebEx Communications, and CEO and board member at Omniva Policy Systems. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA, both from Stanford University.
