Brien Rowe has been hired by investment bank D.A. Davidson & Co. as a managing director in its consumer and retail group. Mr. Rowe will be based in the firm’s Costa Mesa office.
“We are excited to have Brien join our consumer and retail practice, an area in which we have tremendous momentum, having completed eight deals, including five M&A assignments and three public offerings this fiscal year,” said Rory McKinney, co-head of investment banking at D.A. Davidson. “We believe that Brien’s decades of experience representing consumer brands will add depth and breadth to an important and growing sector for D.A. Davidson.”
Mr. Rowe previously was with Intrepid Investment Bankers after earlier co-founding The Sage Group where he also led the firm’s lifestyle brands practice. Past experience also includes time at ING Barings, Schroder & Co., and GE Capital Corporate Finance. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCLA and his MBA from USC.
D.A. Davidson’s investment banking team underwrites public offerings, serves as a placement agent for private financings and advises companies on mergers and acquisitions. The firm has offices in Great Falls, MT (headquarters); Portland; Baltimore; Boston; Chicago; Denver; Minneapolis; New York; Costa Mesa; Salt Lake City; and Seattle (www.dadco.com).
D.A. Davidson & Co. has been actively adding staff. Earlier this month, the firm added Chris Rockers to its investment banking team as a managing director in the firm’s energy practice. He is based in the firm’s Denver office.
