Succession Capital Acquires Lemon Tree Jewelry

lemontree nf1Sienna Sky Jewelry has acquired Lemon Tree Jewelry, a manufacturer and distributor of fashion jewelry. Sienna Sky is a portfolio company of Succession Capital.

Lemon Tree Jewelry offers a product mix of over two hundred earring and necklace designs using a variety of materials including painted metal shapes and settings, glass beads, crystals and pearls, charms, paper and rhinestones.  All the company’s products are handcrafted in Longmont, CO (headquarters) and distributed to retail shops and boutiques throughout the United States. The company was founded by Lisa Boyd in 2003 (www.lemontreejewelry.net).

Lemon Tree is a synergistic acquisition for Sienna Sky as the two companies share similar sales channels, suppliers, and design esthetic. Lemon Tree will be integrated into the operations of Sienna Sky while staying as a unique product line, with ongoing design support from its Ms. Boyd.

“Lemon Tree offers extremely unique, creative designs along with a dedicated group of sales representatives and a large base of recurring customers. We are very excited to add this line to our company as we are confident that it will be a great complement to our existing assortment,” said Jeanna Novy, Sienna Sky President. “We are particularly eager to work with Lemon Tree’s founder as she continues to focus on product design and the evolution of the line.”

Sienna Sky Jewelry, acquired by Succession Capital in August 2014, distributes its fashion jewelry products, primarily earrings and necklaces, across the US under the Sienna Sky and Adajio Collection product lines. The company’s 650 products are sold online and through gift shops and boutique stores. The company was founded in 1994 and, like Lemon Tree, is also based in Longmont, CO (www.lefthandstudiosllc.com).

Succession Capital, a subsidiary of Lynx Equity Limited, seeks to acquire small to medium-sized businesses from owners looking to retire.  Succession invests from $2 million to $8 million of equity in companies with EBITDA between $500,000 and $2 million. The firm is based near San Diego in La Jolla, CA (www.succession-capital.com).
