Wynnchurch Names Four New Managing Directors

wynnchurch nf2Wynnchurch Capital has promoted four members of its investment team to the position of Managing Director.  Moving up are Brian Crumbaugh, Greg Gleason, Neel Mayenkar, and Michael Teplitsky.

“Each of these individuals has made significant contributions to the growth and performance of Wynnchurch over the past several years,” said John Hatherly, Managing Partner. “I believe that one of Wynnchurch’s greatest strengths is our investment team’s commitment to strategy, discipline and hard work. Brian, Greg, Neel, and Michael embody those traits.”

Wynnchurch Capital makes investments of $10 million to $90 million in middle-market companies that have revenues of $5 million to $500 million. Sectors of interest include niche manufacturing, business and industrial services, energy and power services, logistics, transportation and value-added distribution.

Mr. Crumbaugh joined Wynnchurch in 2010.  Prior to joining Wynnchurch he worked at ShoreView Industries and Piper Jaffray and he has an MBA from Wharton and a BBA from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Crumbaugh has been active at Wynnchurch working on the firm’s investments in 4Front Engineered Solutions, Ironform, NSC Minerals and Wolverine Advanced Materials.

Mr. Gleason joined Wynnchurch in 2008.  Prior to joining Wynnchurch, Mr. Gleason worked at Houlihan Lokey and Bank of America. He has an MBA from The University of Chicago and a BS from the University of Illinois. Mr. Gleason has been active at Wynnchurch working on the firm’s investments in Humanetics, JAC, Northstar Aerospace and U.S. Pipe.

Mr. Mayenkar joined Wynnchurch in 2006. Prior to joining Wynnchurch, Mr. Mayenkar worked at Houlihan Lokey and at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a BA from the University of Illinois and has been active on the firm’s investments in Foss Manufacturing, Groupe Moreau, Henniges Automotive and Webex.

Mr. Teplitsky joined Wynnchurch in 2008. Prior to joining Wynnchurch, Mr. Teplitsky worked at Lime Rock Partners and at UBS Investment Bank. He holds an MBA and a BA from Northwestern University.  He has been active on the firm’s investments in NSC Minerals, Northstar Aerospace, U.S. Pipe and Votaw Precision Technologies.

In November 2014, Wynnchurch closed its fourth private equity fund, Wynnchurch Capital Partners IV, LP, with $1.2 billion of capital commitments.  The fund, which had a target of $900 million, was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap. Fundraising was completed quickly after its initial launch in September 2014.  In June 2015, Wynnchurch named two new partners with the promotions of Chris O’Brien and Ian Kirson. Both have been long-time contributors to the firm with Mr. O’Brien joining Wynnchurch in 2000 and Mr. Kirson in 2004.

Wynnchurch manages a number of funds with total capital under management in excess of $2.3 billion. The firm was founded in 1999 and is located in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont with additional offices in Detroit and Toronto (www.wynnchurch.com).
