Kainos Capital has two new partners with the promotions of Daniel Hopkin and Nirav Shah. Messrs. Hopkin and Shah are long time employees of Kainos with Mr. Hopkin joining the Kainos team in 2004 and Mr. Shah in 2008.
Kainos Capital is a middle market private equity firm with an exclusive focus on the food and consumer sector. The firm’s strategy is to build a portfolio of growing and strategically relevant food and consumer businesses that trade buyers would like to acquire. The firm invests from $50 million to $150 million of equity in manufacturers and marketers of food products, as well as other consumer products in the household and personal care industries, and over-the-counter health and nutritional products sectors. Prior to working at Kainos, Mr. Hopkin was with the mergers and acquisitions department of Morgan Stanley. He received his BA in Accounting and Master of Professional Accountancy from Brigham Young.
Mr. Shah was previously with Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital, and worked as a management consultant at Bain & Company. He received his BS in Economics from Wharton and his MBA from Harvard.
