D.A. Davidson Builds Private Equity Team

dadavidson nf1Investment bank D.A. Davidson & Co. has hired Bryan Cummings as a new managing director and head of private equity coverage.  Mr. Cummings will work from the firm’s Costa Mesa and Chicago offices and will be responsible for expanding the firm’s existing private equity relationships.

“With his experience and successful track record in the private equity community, Bryan is a strong addition to our middle market M&A platform,” said Rory McKinney, co-head of investment banking at D.A. Davidson. “His knowledge, leadership and long-term relationships are exceptional and will help continue to provide our clients with the high caliber of service that D.A. Davidson is known for.”

Bryan Cummings nf1Mr. Cummings steps into the position of private equity lead at D.A. Davidson with more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance. Previously, he founded and led the US middle market sponsor coverage effort at RBC Capital Markets and has specific experience in the technology, diversified industrial and aerospace & defense industries.

Before beginning his advisory career he served as a US Army combat arms officer in the US and overseas. Mr. Cummings holds an AB in Politics and Near East Studies from Princeton University and a Master in Public Policy with a concentration in negotiation from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
