Mill City Adds New VP of Finance

mill city nf1Mill City Capital has added Angela Wood to its team as Vice President of Finance.  She has more than 14 years of tax and accounting experience serving investment funds and their portfolio companies.

Ms. Wood was previously a Senior Tax Manager at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause in Minneapolis where she was involved with tax structuring, tax consulting and compliance for private equity funds, venture capital funds, fund of funds, and other alternative investment entities. Ms. Wood is a licensed CPA and holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth.

Ms. Wood’s responsibilities at Mill City include all accounting, investor reporting and administration of compliance and reporting for Mill City’s private equity funds.  She also oversees the firm’s internal operations.

Mill City Capital makes control investments of $10 million to $30 million in companies that have EBITDA’s of $7.5 million to $25 million and enterprise values of $50 million to $150 million.  Preferred targets are headquartered in the Midwestern US, with a particular focus on companies located in the Upper Midwestern states of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Sectors of interest include consumer and industrial with a specific interest in engineered industrial products; industrial services; transportation & distribution; agribusiness & food ingredients; food and consumer products & services; and restaurants & retail.
