Comvest Partners has hired Carlos Soto as a Senior Vice President in the firm’s New Business Development Group. Mr. Soto will be responsible for managing Comvest’s transaction origination team, and sourcing and assessing investment opportunities.
Mr. Soto’s experience covers business development, marketing, strategy, and finance. Prior to joining Comvest, he was a member of the business development team at The Gores Group, where he led deal origination for consumer and industrial investments and managed relationships with investment banks, corporate sellers, and other transaction intermediaries. Mr. Soto received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

Comvest Partners provides debt and equity to middle-market companies. For debt investments the firm will invest from $2 million to $20 million per transaction in companies with $10 million to $200 million of revenue that have positive or negative EBITDA. For equity investments the firm will invest from $10 million to $50 million per transaction in companies with $15 million to $500 million of revenue that have positive or negative EBITDA.
