VRC Adds Two to Team

VRC nf1Valuation Research Corporation, a provider of independent valuations, has hired Parag Patel as senior vice president of business development and Michael Pouliot as a senior financial analyst.

parag patel nf2Mr. Patel will be responsible for supporting the alternative investment community with valuations of illiquid and hard-to-value assets. His client base will include BDCs, banks, private equity sponsors, hedge funds, and venture capital firms.  Mr. Patel will be based in VRC’s New York office.

raymond weisner nf1“Parag’s deep experience in banking and credit in the middle market space will be of true value to our lending and private equity clients,” said Raymond Weisner, Managing Director.

Before joining VRC, Mr. Patel was senior vice president of business development for Citi Commercial Banking. Prior to Citi, he worked in the corporate treasury group of one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies. He holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees from the Stevens Institute of Technology in mechanical engineering and management, respectively.

Mr. Pouliot will be based in the firm’s office in Princeton, NJ and will work within VRC’s portfolio valuation group.  Prior to joining VRC, Mr. Pouliot was a Fixed Income Specialist with JP Morgan Investment Management. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University School of Management. He also holds the designation of chartered financial analyst.
