Vector Capital has hired Jim Murray as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Murray joins Vector after 14 years at Blum Capital, where he was the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer.

Prior to his time at Blum Capital, Mr. Murray worked at California Federal Bank, Coopers & Lybrand, and Kenneth Leventhal & Company where he specialized in tax matters. He graduated from San Francisco State University and has a Masters of Taxation from Golden Gate University.

Earlier this month, Roy Kelvin, the prior Chief Financial Officer of Vector Capital, left the firm to join GI Partners as its Chief Financial Officer.
