Otis Spencer, Jr. has been named as an Operating Partner of GenNx360 Capital Partners. Mr. Spencer will reports to Lloyd Trotter, Founding and Managing Partner of the firm.
Mr. Spencer will be responsible for creating value by driving operational improvements within the GenNx360 portfolio. In addition, he will work with the GenNx360 investment team to identify and evaluate new platform opportunities, conducting strategic and operational analysis of potential deals as well as business model sustainability.

Mr. Spencer has over 23 years of operating experience in many of GenNx360’s industries of interest, such as, industrial manufacturing, logistics, transportation components, defense, specialty chemicals, and oil and gas. Prior to joining GenNx360, he was Manufacturing Strategy & Operations Advisor at WBS Financial, where he was involved in the development of strategic post-transaction operational plans, and advised on the effectiveness of manufacturing, quality control, planning and engineering. Mr. Spencer also advised on environmental, health and safety matters, supply chain processes and was lead advisor in organizational structure and executive staff recruitment.

Mr. Spencer began his career in the United States Army where he served from 1990 to 2003 and held numerous executive and operational leadership roles, including Director of Administration and Operations in Iraq and Kuwait where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Prior positions include Vice President of Defense Operations for Varec, a provider of instrumentation and automation for the oil & gas, defense, and aviation industries; and General Manager at TAMKO Building Products, a manufacturer of roofing products, waterproofing products, composite decking and railing systems, and cements & coatings. Mr. Spencer holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama and an MBA from Saint Martin’s University in Washington.
