Summer Street Capital Partners has added Garth Troxell to its team as a new partner. Mr. Troxell will be engaged in all aspects of Summer Street’s investment activities and portfolio management and will lead Summer Street’s Investor Relations efforts.
“Garth is a natural fit to our organization, and the Summer Street team is thrilled to welcome him to the firm,” said Managing Partner, Brian D’Amico. “His knowledge and experience has already begun to add tremendous value to our organization and portfolio.”
Mr. Troxell’s past experience includes consulting, private equity, and investment banking. Prior to joining Summer Street, he served as a consultant to investment banking and private equity clients. From 2002 to 2012, he was with Altius Associates, most recently as a Partner and Executive Director. He earned a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia with a concentration in Finance.
“Serving as an advisor to institutional investors committing capital to private equity firms, Garth has a keen sense of what LP’s need in a private equity partnership,” said Managing Partner, Mike McQueeney. “Garth will offer unique insight on developing current and new investor relationships, and will help us refine our investor communications and reporting processes.”
Summer Street Capital Partners has approximately $450 million of committed capital focused on investing in small-market companies. “I have known the firm for quite a while, and strongly believe the Summer Street blend of investment acumen, dedicated sourcing professionals, and experienced operating partners is unique to the lower middle-market,” said Mr. Troxell. “I’m excited to join and contribute to the team – it is a group of both thoughtful investors, and genuinely good people.”
